AC contactor works

When the coil is energized, the static core produces electromagnetic attraction, and the moving core is sucked. Since the contact system is linked with the moving core, the movable iron core drives the three action contacts at the same time, the main contact closes, and the main Contact mechanical connection of the auxiliary normally closed contact open, auxiliary normally open contact closed, thus turning on the power.

When the coil is powered off, the suction disappears, and the moving core interlocking part is separated by the reaction force of the spring so that the main contact is disconnected and the auxiliary normally closed contact which is mechanically connected with the main contact is closed and the auxiliary normally open contact is disconnected , Thereby cutting off the power supply.

AC contactor can only be used in the AC line, if you want to connect the AC contactor on the DC then the result must be burned serious and even burn equipment.

AC contactor main component

1, the electromagnetic system, including the attracting coil, moving core and static core;

2, the contact system, including three main contacts and one to two groups normally open, normally closed auxiliary contact, it is moving together with the core is linked to each other;

3, the arc device, the general capacity of the larger AC contactors are equipped with arc extinguishing device, in order to quickly cut off the arc, from burning the main contact;

The working principle of the contactor is that when the contactor coil is energized, the coil current will generate a magnetic field, and the magnetic field will cause the static core to generate the electromagnetic suction force to attract the moving core and drive the AC contact point to move, the normally closed contact opens and normally opens The contacts are closed and the two are linked. When the coil is powered off, the electromagnetic suction disappears, the armature in the release of the role of the release of the spring, so that contact recovery, normally open contact open, normally closed contact closed. The working principle of the DC contactor is somewhat similar to the principle of the temperature switch.
